MDB Modular Clutch-Brakes (2)

MDB Modular Clutch-Brakes are ideal for more demanding applications. They offer more torque and open design offers higher thermal ratings. Flange mounts directly to NEMA C-face motors up to 10 HP and reducers. Offers true neutral position (no clutch or brake engagement). A drip proof sealing kit is available for wet applications. Optional Foot Mount and Input Units are available for belt, chain, and coupling, drive applications. In high cycle rate applications where the MDB is connected to a reducer that would use the smaller 625 & 875 sizes the FMCBE clutch brake series with the Locking Key feature should be considered due to potential output shaft key or keyway problems.

FMCBE Flange Mounted Clutch-Brakes are designed for controlled starts and stops in hostile, dirty environments. Totally enclosed design prevents contaminants from interfering with operation of the units while keeping worn friction material from escaping into the environment. Flange mounts directly to motors and reducers. Compatible with C-face motors up to 20 HP. Optional Foot Mount is available for belt drive applications. Optional Input Unit allows you to incorporate pulleys or couplings into your application.

Simplified; one product number for a clutch-brake combination, control valve and locking key feature. Reduced number of air line connections for quicker install. Shorter air lines for better air pressure. Eliminates need for quick exhaust valves. 115 Volt is standard on FMCBE. The Integral Valve is available for 12, 24 and 115 volt systems.
