Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer

Job Location: Vadnais Heights, Minnesota

Description
Nexen is a leading manufacturer of precision motion control devices, both linear and rotary. Performs design and development functions for existing product lines and product line extensions, new products, or specials.  Works on designs to improve components and products and to develop concepts for new products that achieve the desired quality at the most favorable cost.  Prepares or directs the preparation of layouts, drawings, and specifications. Defines tests to be conducted and evaluates test results.  Recommends or develops design changes.  

Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, with 1 - 10 years of varied experience in engineering.  Must have strong CAD knowledge, proficient computer skills, strong analytical and diagnostic abilities, and knowledge of engineering standards.  Must also have effective interpersonal and communication skills, including a team orientation.

Application Engineer

Job Location: Vadnais Heights, Minnesota

Description
Nexen is a leading manufacturer of precision motion control devices, both linear and rotary. This individual will seek out and understand the customer’s needs and propose and explain how Nexen products can resolve their needs and provide them with good value, performance, and quality. Responsibilities include responding to questions and providing product information to customers, making decisions regarding application and service recommendations, and generating sales resulting from customer contact over the telephone and customer visits (20%-50%). Will work with customer support teams and engineering in response to customer requests for special or modified products. This is a quick commute to the northern suburbs. 

Qualifications
Requires a four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related Technical Degree, with related work experience preferred. A strong depth of knowledge of physics, power transmission, and motion control is desired. Must have proficient computer skills, strong analytical skills, and effective interpersonal and communication skills. Strong background with Solidworks is desired.

IT Manager

Job Location: Vadnais Heights, Minnesota

Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to oversee all IT (Information Technology) functions in our company. With a team of professional and technical specialists, you will establish the organization's overall IT plans and lead the company’s technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies. An excellent IT manager is very knowledgeable in IT and computer systems. They have a solid technical background while being able to manage and motivate people. The ideal candidate will be experienced in creating and implementing IT policies and systems that will meet objectives. The goal is to ensure IT systems and people are effective and functioning within the limits of the budget, time, and specifications of the company. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all technology operations (e.g., network security) and evaluate them according to established goals
  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
  • Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and report to upper management
  • Coordinate IT managers and supervise computer scientists, technicians, and other professionals to provide guidance
  • Control budget and report on expenditure
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an IT manager or similar role
  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.
  • Experience in controlling information technology budget
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication abilities
  • BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus

Description:
Nexen is located in the lake country of Northwest Wisconsin. Nexen has 80 CNC machines, small lot sizes, and state-of-the-art processes and scheduling. We offer a great salary and benefits package. Job Location: Webster, Wisconsin

Description
Provide management of production to a three-shift operation at the plant level through exceptional leadership in accordance with general corporate values, goals, objectives, and strategic planning. Ensures COGS, productivity, efficiency, delivery, and continual improvement goals are achieved and inspires a level of enthusiasm and commitment in daily production management at the Webster facility. Continually improves organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in industrial management, engineering, or a related field and 8-10 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment. A master’s degree is beneficial. Should have sound knowledge of manufacturing operations and production procedures, innovative tools and machines, and the latest equipment for handling the assigned manufacturing processes. Must have excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated success with quality systems, change management, and continual improvement activities will be essential.
