Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer

Job Location: Vadnais Heights, Minnesota

Description
Nexen is a leading manufacturer of precision motion control devices, both linear and rotary. This individual will perform design and development functions for existing product lines and product line extensions, new products, or specials. Works on designs to improve components and products and to develop concepts for new products that achieve the desired quality at the most favorable cost. Prepares or directs the preparation of layouts, drawings, and specifications. Defines tests to be conducted and evaluates test results. Recommends or develops design changes. 

Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, with 1 - 10 years of varied experience in engineering.  Must have strong CAD knowledge, proficient computer skills, strong analytical and diagnostic abilities, and knowledge of engineering standards.  Must also have effective interpersonal and communication skills, including a team orientation.

Application Engineer

Job Location: Vadnais Heights, Minnesota

Description
Works closely with sales staff to assess customers’ needs, researches and addresses technical requirements, and offers up solutions that result in sales of Nexen products. Works with customers through email, phone, and web conferences to integrate products into their designs.   Works closely with engineering to maintain the technical integrity of the product line and develop product line extensions and custom products.  Provides sales training on new and existing product lines to internal and external customers.   Develop quotations for special applications. 

Qualifications
Requires a four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related Technical Degree, with related work experience preferred. A strong depth of knowledge of physics, power transmission, and motion control is desired. Must have proficient computer skills, strong analytical skills, and effective interpersonal and communication skills. A strong background with SolidWorks is desired.

Description
Oversee the quality function for the manufacturing facility, including administration of the quality program, ensuring product quality and reliability, supplier certification, and continuous improvement.  Performs supervisory and managerial functions.

Uses technical and quality training to provide proactive statistical or non-statistical quality assurance support for a continuous quality improvement strategy.  Ensures implementation and maintenance of the ISO quality system and acts as the Quality Management Representative.


Required Qualifications
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Management, or Engineering, with five or more years of related quality experience preferred.  Two years of Quality Assurance leadership will equal one year of education. CMM Programming experience is preferred, with PC-DMIS and SmartProfile experience being beneficial. A thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and machining operations is also required. ASQ certification is a plus.  Requires strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with computers.  


CNC Machinist (multiple openings)

Job Location: Webster, Wisconsin

Description:
Nexen is located in the lake country of Northwest Wisconsin. Nexen has 80 CNC machines, small lot sizes, and state-of-the-art processes and scheduling. We offer a great salary and benefits package.
